In mid-May, F5 Shanghai left the city behind and headed to Xishan Island, a hidden escape in the middle of Taihu Lake, one of China’s largest freshwater lakes. Just two hours from Shanghai, the island feels like another world: quiet mountains, open water, local food, lakeside cafés, and a rhythm far away from the speed of the city.
For two days, the team traded office screens for lake views, deadlines for fresh air, and meeting rooms for games, karaoke, and late-night laughter. Surrounded by one of China’s most beautiful freshwater landscapes, everyone played like kids again.
For a creative company, inspiration does not only come from briefs, decks, or brainstorms. Sometimes, it comes from leaving the city, getting lost in nature, and remembering how to stay curious.
At F5 Shanghai, we believe creativity needs more than hard work. It needs energy, friendship, passion for life, and a team that still knows how to stay young, foolish, and fully alive.
Stay young. Stay foolish. Do what creatives should do.
